new study reveals coffee drinkers don't die young

A new study conducted by the Universidad Autonoma de Madrid shows that long-term coffee drinking -- up to 6 cups of our favorite beverage a day -- has no effect on increasing the chances of a person's early death and may even help prevent a person from dying of heart disease.

The study, conducted by the Spanish university research team led by Esther Lopez-Garcia monitored over 84,000 US women from 1980 to 2004, and over 40,000 US men from 1986 to 2004 -- all regular coffee drinkers of the caffeinated and decaf kind -- and the study showed no increased risk of death. In fact, the female subjects of the study also revealed a decline in death due to heart diseases.
