Last March 24, our baby daughter, Ikai, was welcomed to the Christian World in a simple christening ceremony held at the Angela Valdez Memorial Chapel inside the Cosmopolitan Church - UCCP compound.Despite being harassed and harried in the preparations for the event, Elvie and I still managed to pull the event off without a hitch. And together with our family and friends, Rika Antoinette Gumiter Ragandan was officially pronounced a Christian in the timeless rite of baptism officiated by Pastor Raul Nejudne.
Several of the Ninongs and Ninangs were absentees but we managed to get proxies in their steads. After the ceremonies, family and friends engrossed themselves in photo-ops with Ikai before being ushered to Rigos Hall where the reception followed.
