Forbes’ Richest Pinoys List

Four Taipans and an old-rich Spanish mestizo comprise the Top 5 richest Filipino list. They are:

Now I believe this is a great list compiled by Forbes but I seem to be missing one surname that I think should be included here – Lhuillier.

Yes, I think the Lhuillier Clan, represented by two prominent family members – Philippe Lhuillier (Cebuana Lhuillier Pawnshop chain) and Michel Lhuillier (M Lhuillier Pawnshop chain) – are two of the wealthiest families here in the Philippines. I think both Lhuillier families earn more than MVP and if rumors are true, the combined total wealth of the two Lhuillier families can topple at least JAZA from his perch on the top 5. Individually, both Philippe and Michel can probably be in the top 10 richest people in the country.

If the Tambuntings entered at the 31st spot, there’s no doubt in my mind, the individual Lhuilliers can attain a higher spot with their network of pawnshop branches plus other business diversities.
