wednesday warbles: another short update today

Not much happening, folks.

In between work time and family time I've been reading. I'm half-way through A Storm of Swords and after this, I think I'll pick-up a non-GRRM book for my next read. Just to change the pace a bit as I think I'm getting addicted to the Song of Ice and Fire series that I might end up going berserk when I finish A Dance with Dragons (that is, if the mass market paperback edition comes out early next year) and realize that next installment, The Winds of Winter, isn't done yet.

I've got the recently-purchased Solaris Book of New Fantasy on hand for just the purpose but who knows? On one of my visits to the bookstores, I might just end up with an altogether different book. I'll be sure to read recommendations from other bibliophiles and be on the lookout on possible other reads. Then, on stand-by as well are tons of comic books that await reading.

Although given the hustle-and-bustle of the Christmas season, I'm sure my reading time will be diminished. Nevertheless, wherever I go I'm sure to be bringing along a book. And in any case, I've always got a standby book inside Big Red's compartment -- the sci-fi thriller Metal Sky by Jay Caselberg.

Oh, it's December already and this is the first entry for the month.

I haven't been writing as much as I'm still bogged down by work. But I'll probably come up with a few more entries before the year is out including my usual Christmas Wishlist and a detailing of how many pounds I've garnered this Christmas season.

The Diabetic Daddy isn't updating as I don't have the time to work on it so it'll probably be on hiatus til next year. Same goes for The Gaming Daily, that website focused on the industry I formerly worked for.

My sister will be coming home for vacation at year's end so there'll be lots of zooming and going and zipping. I've yet to arrange my calendar but it's going to be a bit full by Christmas time until the first two weeks of January.

Short one for today, folks. Have a good day!
