It's been a hectic holiday season that finding the time to blog (despite the many happenings) has been relatively scarce what with places to go to, friends to meet, birthday and christmas parties to attend to, and relatives and loved ones to cherish the season with.
I did manage to draft a post summarizing the daily spur of activities since the start of the Christmas break afternoon of December 24th. But I have yet to complete that daily tally as I only managed to keep track of that until the 28th (I think). From the 29th til New Year til the end of the 11-day holiday last January 4, I have no memoirs yet written in black or white (or typed on a virtual pad paper with pixelized representations of letters). One of these days, I will finish that post and, err, post it.
The return to work yesterday was also a renewal of the daily dose of reality that here I am sweating out figuratively and literally to earn a daily keep. In these dire economic times that is truly global in scope, one is lucky to still have a job. However, the New Year also means more work to be done -- an unavoidable and imminent reality that I had dreaded facing once work resumed during the holiday hiatus.
I also did not do a search (as in Yahoo, Google and MSN search) of myself which has become somewhat an annual thing for two years now. I will probably do one later this month (if I find the time) but what is clear (as can be seen on the archives portion of this blog) is that I wrote a lot more in 2008 than I did the previous two years.
Happy New Year folks!
