blogging about blogging

My marketing and advertising related blog, Pinoy Marketer Observer, has seen a resurrection of sorts as I've started blogging there again.

I intend to think about Sportsblitzer more thoroughly over the weekend but I'm leaning more to deleting all sports posts listed there and starting all over again. I think that would be easier actually trying to bridge the months-long gap that it now has.

Blogging for me is a much needed writing release. For most hours of the day, I'm bogged down at work doing administrative work -- monitoring my staff and making sure everyone's behaving they should be behaving and that everyone's working on projects they should be working on.

I'm also on a mentoring phase with several young 'uns on-board my team. So, a lot of time is spent on informal lectures, guidance on project management, and making decisions or spurring the young 'uns to make the most effective decisions at the right time.

Thus, there's not much in terms of creativity, in fact. I feel that the creative junkie in me is rusting. To keep in practice, I take on a project every now and then just to see if I still have it. But as a GER, many of the work I do right now is monitoring, mentoring and making sure the department runs smoothly -- troubleshooting when crises arise and practicing stuff learned at seminars on leadership and how to become an effective boss.

So, to find time to blog is quite exciting even if I don't know how many people actually read my blogs. I read blogs and am amazed and inspired with what other bloggers write. I only hope my blogs also mean something to others.

Just a little senti thought.
